HIS WINGS MINISTRIES

Savoonga, AK 06-07

Savoonga Presbyterian Church
Savoonga, Alaska
6/7- 6/15/07

Savoonga is located on St. Lawrence Island off the western coast of Alaska. It is very close to the Russian border.

How awesome it was to minister to the Yupik Eskimo natives in this Alaskan village. There is such a need for the Gospel in this place, especially among the young people. Please pray for the native young people of Alaska that God will give them a vision and hope for the future. Following is a journal of things that happened nightly in the meetings at Savoonga Presbyterian Church. All in all, 32 people (including teenagers) gave their lives to Christ and 3 received the Baptism with the Holy Spirit.

Thursday – 6/7/07
Attendance was light tonight but we were told that it was very good attendance for a first service. Basic healing principles were taught through the message - "Come to the Waters and Believe". Many were open to God's Word and several received ministry directly from the Holy Spirit as God's power fell on them in the congregation. One man was delivered from depression. Another man felt the weights and burdens of a situation just lift from him. "Jesus is Lord of Savoonga" - has been a declaration we've been making since arriving in this village. Everything must bow its knee to the knee of Jesus.

Friday – 6/8/07
During the day, we visited and prayed for a woman that had lung cancer. After several days, she was off the breathing machine, was able to walk around her house, and she was gaining strength. Attendance was greatly increased at the meeting tonight. 14 people gave their lives to Jesus including 3 teenagers. God gave us several words of knowledge in the area of healing. As people rose to respond to these words of knowledge, most were instantly healed! One woman with a painful ear problem was instantly healed, 5 people with arthritis were instantly healed, and a woman with cataracts noticed improvement in her sight.

Saturday – 6/9/07
God poured out a fresh anointing for many of his people. Several received the Baptism with the Holy Spirit.

Sunday – 6/10/07
8 people gave their lives to Christ; including 3 young people; I spoke on “Intimacy with God”. Many received fresh rain from heaven in their seats as God's power fell. We prayed for several people to be healed. One lady with heart problems received her healing by faith.

Monday – 6/11/07
Tonight we had an anointing service and many came forward to receive a fresh anointing from God with the commitment to pray for others. Several healings occurred tonight: There were several back and knee healings and a woman’s neck was healed. A church elder stood in proxy for his grand son in a hospital in Anchorage (over 500 miles away). His grandson was suffering from a burst appendix and a burst kidney. He was in critical condition. As prayer was offered for the boy, the church elder felt the anointing of God go through his stomach. Several days later the elder said that his grandson had miraculously improved. Doctors were calling him the ‘miracle boy’. Glory be to God!

Tuesday – 6/12/07
God gave a word of knowledge about a tooth that needed healing. A young child’s tooth was instantly healed. A suicidal teenager was delivered from the spirit of suicide. Many children received a touch from God tonight.

Wednesday – 6/13/07
A man received by faith healing from a hernia

Thursday – 6/14/07
Today we had the opportunity to witness to 3 employees at IRA (the village city hall office). They received the engrafted Word of God with great openness. Tonight we taught on “Jesus, the Bondage Breaker”. God gave a word of knowledge about someone being there that had emotional instability. A teenager came forward and received her healing. Several also received deliverance from addictions after the word of knowledge was given that God wanted to deliver those with addictions.

Friday – 6/15/07 6 young people (including teenagers) gave their lives to Jesus tonight. A girl with a heart murmur received her healing.

Monday – 6/18/07
4 young people came to the parsonage where we were staying to visit. They all gave their lives to Jesus.
