HIS WINGS MINISTRIES
Jesus told Martha, “…Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?” (John 11:40) . What an awesome truth!
After Lazarus died, Martha and Mary limited Jesus in their own minds. They thought that if Jesus had been there Lazarus would not have died. It didn’t even occur to them that He could raise him from the dead! The people also standing around had limited Jesus. They said, “Could not this man, which opened the eyes of the blind, have caused that even this man should not have died? “ (John 11:37). For all of them, death was finality. There was nothing anyone could do.
It may be a fact that ‘death’ is staring you right in the face. It may be a fact that the doctors say you only have so long to live. It may be a fact that you have an incurable disease. It may be a fact that you’re broke and have no money. But the TRUTH of the matter is that JESUS IS THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE. He brings LIFE to our dead circumstances and raises them up IF we don’t limit Him by our unbelief.
You might say to yourself, “how do I learn to believe God?”. Basically, believing God is a decision that you make. The father of the demon possessed boy made a decision to believe when he said, “Lord, I believe, help my unbelief”. In other words, “Lord I believe in my heart, help the unbelief in my head”. God looks at every HEART of faith. It doesn’t matter what’s going around in your head. Cast down those thoughts and believe that God can do whatever you need Him to do in your heart!
Say to yourself right now, “Lord, I BELIEVE!”.
God honors faith. He always has and He always will. If we can believe without doubting…if we can believe without trying to tell God how to do it….If we can believe and keep believing until we receive that thing we’re believing for….we shall see the glory of God. We shall see the manifestation of the thing believed for…. We shall see God come through for us!
Remember the children of
How oft did they provoke him in the wilderness, and grieve him in the desert!
Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel. (Psalm 78:40-41)
What was the result of their unbelieving ways? They limited God! All the great plans God had for them were hindered BECAUSE of their unbelief. They couldn’t see that God was big enough to bring them out of their problem. Do you see God as big enough to bring you out?
May we all endeavor to declare often throughout our day, “Lord, I believe!” Heaven hears every cry of faith and it answers it’s every cry!
